Jib cranes may experience sluggish steering during operation. You should first check the steering system wiring for damage and whether the line joints are loose. If so, should ask the professional electrical engineer to repair the wiring and replace the connector;
If the wiring is normal, check the steering gear. For example, if the check valve is not tightly closed, and the working surface between the rotor and stator of the cycloid gear motor of the steering gear or the sleeve and the slide valve is severely worn, the pilot oil flowing to the steering valve will be diverted back to the fuel tank, resulting in slow rotation;
Check the steering valve. If debris jams the control lift button of the overload relief valve, or the spring force of the valve is weakened, the steering system pressure will be too low and the rotation speed will be slow;
Check steering hydraulic cylinder. If the piston ring of the steering hydraulic cylinder is damaged or the inner wall of the cylinder is scratched by foreign objects, the gap will be too large, and the oil in the high pressure chamber will leak into the low pressure chamber, which will also cause slow rotation;
Disassemble and check the steering pump. If the driving gear has broken teeth, it will cause severe wear and scratches on the sides of the rotor and blades and the end faces of the side plates, resulting in insufficient fuel supply and slow steering.
