The brake is an important safety device on the floor mounted jib crane, which can realize the functions of hanging the object without falling and stopping. During the operation, failures such as insufficient braking force, failure, and smoke may occur. In order to ensure the safety of the operation, the failure needs to be handled, and the operation is continued after repair. Common brake failures are:
1. The gap between brake and shim is too large, causing brake failure. Or the gap between the brake and the shim is too small, which requires additional power consumption during operation and accelerates the wear of the brake shim.
2. The hinge on the brake is stuck, the braking torque is too large, or the hydraulic push rod is not used to release the brake.
3. Oil stains are generated between the brake pads and the brake wheels due to accumulation of grease, dust, etc.
4. The brake pads on the brake are severely worn, and the elasticity of the main spring is weakened.
