In order to ensure the safety of the lifting operation and avoid the sudden broken of the steel wire rope during the use, the safety regulations of the Hoisting Machinery Safety Regulations shall be strictly implemented. When the number of broken steel wires reaches 10% of the total number of wire rope, it should be scrapped. For example, if the wire rope is of the 6*37 type, the total number of wires is 222. When a broken wire reaches 22 broken wires, it is regarded as scrapped and replaced.
If the worn diameter of the wire rope is more than 40% of the original, it will be scrapped, should be repalced the new one.
